What’s wrong with my machine?
Main oven not heating
If the oven fan and light come on but the element won’t heat up then the oven element requires replacing.
Grill has power but doesn’t heat up
This could be caused by a the belt being broken or the motor not in operation. These can both be repaired or replaced.
Oven burns food
If an oven is cooking at a high temperature and is unable to be turned down, the thermostat requires replacing.
Oven door won’t close properly
Hinges may have broken or become misaligned. Also, old door seals can perish and become loose causing an obstruction in which case, the door seal needs to be replaced.
Hob won’t boil a pan

Hob element won’t work at all

Oven fan not working
Usually the fan unit needs replacing.
Hob element too hot
A pan containing 2 pints of water should boil within 7 minutes. If not, ensure pan has flat bottom and pan size fits in with those specified in the appliance handbook. If still not boiling, element is faulty.
Thermostat needs replacing.
